“ CORPORitual reminded me not to forget to think about yourself and your needs in these stressful times. Think about my personal relationship with my spouse & perhaps help her to get in touch with her inner self. Thank You Soulbath Peace Foundation & Raj Bhowmik”
Soulbath Peace Foundation Reaches
Vaswani Pinnacle, Bangalore
Raj Bhowmik 312
Soulbath Peace Foundation reached another housing society in Bangalore on April 10th, 2011 with the heart touching CORPORitual Workshop.
A day that is packed with IPL Matches that engages the adrenalin sufficiently, a Sunday where everybody would like to laze around, also saw few people who decided that they could make a restart in their lives again – ‘where living becomes joyful’ in their words. Drawn by curiosity & searching for more meaning in life, they went back feeling like more useful individuals in the community and a first step towards themselves, within.
There are plenty of distractions outside in our life and this fast paced era creates high performance in every area of life including relationships. The childhood conditioning being so strong, we often forget ourselves and begin to discover ourselves through someone else’s eyes – often feeling unappreciated.
When asked, ‘What do you give back on the last day of your life to your environment?’, an eldest in the group enthusiastically responded – “to Myself”. “Would you want to share it with anybody?” “To Myself exclusively” came the quick reply.
After a certain age in our lives when we have risen the successful ladder in material terms, we have so long forgotten ourselves & surely ourselves in a relationship with close relatives, that society feels in old age, we need to live alone. The concept of elders occupying large houses with the best amenities but no family is replacing the family system in this rat marathon. So for somebody to echo that they want to relive for themselves, comes with many years of experiences of sweat & blood in relationships understanding that appreciation begins from within.
Another elder responded after the workshop, “You have made me cry today”. I had come in asking for permission if I could leave, but I only sat & had tears rolling down through the heart touching CORPORitual Essence.
“As dads in the Indian community we groom ourselves to be the most perfect and to maintain the perfection we feel trapped”, came another response. In such a situation, we often feel trapped & keep a brave front. Sometimes we are unable to communicate our true feelings to our partner & the Chief Referree’s whistle has blown for them!! Feelings of being useless, guilt surround the individual & resentsment for the self keeps building.
Sri Raj Bhowmik in CORPORitual guides us about Failures in Life that “Life is trying to give you some valuable tips and lessons through the pain you are going through, through the situations that give you pain, or through the people who cause you grief. These experiences will come in handy in some future data or event. What you are destined to become might not be revealed now, but it is pre determined. Forget the failures, as they were essential to lead you to your destined path. You have to trust that there is always a bigger plan in store for you. So go ahead and bury the past.”
Through every relationship, every human is just trying to be useful. Except that our parameters of receiving & giving that response is so defined that anything different does not satisfy the human need. Another participant responded, “I use to be very angry when I was young and realized one day all of a sudden that the only person who was being hurt was myself. The day I realized it, I let it go. I get frustrated but not angry. There are many more beautiful things in life if we look around”
During the CORPORitual Workshop the participants also experienced a skill that they had forgotten. We all have a unique skill that we are really good at & Life has also responded with appreciation. However these skills were hidden through times, forgotten used very rarely and therefore we are all trying to run the rat marathon trying to be someone else. Where is the end? No End. Is there a Beginning …Is there a Pause to reflect & change direction? Yes…Being CORPORitual
