CORPORitual @ Nightingales Medical Trust
Raj Bhowmik 269
Sri Raj Bhowmik’s Essence of CORPORitual reached 15 people on Oct 8th 2011. The audience was Elders from the Nightingales Medical Trust in Bangalore.
The Workshop included an engaging conversation followed by a Book Reading of CORPORitual and helping the participants experience and live the 4 CORPORitual Values. Participants were helped to identify their current reference points in life amidst the chaos and begin to look into themselves to connect with the environment. Some of the participants felt that the new generation is too busy and stressful & this makes them feel lonely & lack of affection. As a result, the group found it difficult to relate to the younger generation that seems so distant.
Smita Rahul (Q A Test Engineer at Juniper Networks & SAHHEAL Healing Consultant)
I realized that when people get old, their views are so different. As we are advancing in technology, this age group is feeling more disconnected. The conversations about Forgive & Bury the Past had some heart touching questions such as “Why cant the past be revisited?” brought out a lot inside me. To accept that it is OK and move on even at that age gave me the strength to look at my own Life & move on. I am sure if they are able to change, it will be visible to the next generation and the ripples of connectedness will also move towards the next generation. Raj, I understood that to change age is not a criteria and when we accept change gracefully, we can change too. We all have blocks. When we are able to accept our blocks, we can move on quickly.

SPF Again - The second time in 8 days….
Raj Bhowmik 270
Soulbath Peace Foundation reached another centre of the Nightingales Medical Trust in Malleswaram Bangalore on Oct 18th, this being the second time in a span of 8 days.
This time, the magical effects of CORPORitual’s growing practical Messages of living peacefully in the corporate era was well received by 30 elders. This group was more fulfilled in few domains unlike other elder counterparts as they were independent and making an attempt to engage themselves happily in life’s chores although some of them stayed by themselves and their children living in countries were internet was the only medium.
Loneliness, disconnect and growing technology can surely cause gap in communication to the very hands that taught us how to walk, cycle and even run. In this fast paced corporate era, the Business of relationships has yet not engulfed this age group who still prefer to maintain face to face, heart to heart communications with their children and are still trying to keep in touch with them keeping pace to learn. Surely learning is at every age but learning is a 2 way process. When there was always someone available to teach us the ABCs of Life then why are we so assuming and uncaring when we tell elders at this age to learn something and find their own way to learn one way so that they could now connect to us.
This is where Sri Raj Bhowmik’s Message of CORPORitual comes in handy to this domain of society that has been the most productive at one time, one time standing by what they believe and gave away everything to make and build the child that they were given.
Sri Raj Bhowmik’s most compassionate Essence of Meeting Yourself in Silence is the direct answer to an elder’s question who innocently asks, “How can I meet myself in Silence. I have tried hard but its not happening?” CORPORitual Values pave the path for recognizing the inner connect that we have with our selves that is possible at any age.
The beauty of CORPORitual Values is that no growing in technology can take this connection away as it is a process that begins outward but focuses inward. All other processes in Life begin in but out has no boundaries to stop hence the disconnect if we do not keep pace. Forgive and Bury the Past is a Value that one cannot preach. One has to believe in it to live it for one’s sake to move on…to let go…It is easy because Our Founder bases this on the Passion of one’s Purpose. When we love our Purpose of Living everything else is nullified because our purpose has the Fragrance of Consuming everything into it for a greater cause and then we only Forgive to move ahead towards that Purpose. One can have the best games to play that excite the mind, the best places to visit with the retired pension but one can be at Peace only with one’s true self helping to feel fulfilled. The latest Cadbury’s ad is heart touching when an elder woman is trying to painstakingly type a letter to her son when she drops the tea on the computer consumed so much by learning technology that never will have the tender looks of a teacher that would say “Good Job”. This is living life one way. CORPORitual Values Of Living keeps that connection alive in the heart that draws every other connection in the world closer like never before.
Reflection from CORPORitual Facilitator & Participants
Facilitator Deepa B (SAHHEAL Healing Consultant, Corporate Communications from Microsoft)
This time, I had a session at the enrichment centre Malleshwaram. We had a group of 25-30 senior citizens who had participated in the workshop. It was interesting to see the variance the group compared to my first session, this group was far more vocal with their thinking. We began the session talking about some of the missing aspects of life and linked it with the fast paced era and influence of technology.. how are we coping with life today? Are we leading a balanced life are we in peace and harmony with ourselves. To this we aligned it to the 4 principles of CORPORitual.
I read quite a few excerpts from the book and cited examples explaining the 4 values of life. The session ended with folks having a lot of connecting questions –
Person 1 asked me how do we go about meeting ourselves in silence , he tries every day but filled with disturbing thoughts?
Person 2 expressed the fact that he has a inner purpose which he wants to achieve even today but does not know how connect with it and reach to attain his desires and goals.
Person 3 came forward and shared his whole experience of his compassionate deeds last week and expressed how he wants to do more of it.
Person 4 who spoke about the difficulty in letting go of her baggage of the past and still living with it.
The perspectives of life and their experiences opened out a very interesting facet of how a generation of 30 + years ago embraced living comparing it to today’s lifestyle – CORPORitual principles has become the need of the hour to live a balanced and living.
