Soulbath Peace Foundation’s CORPORitual Leadership Workshop for Children @ SOS Children’s Village Pondicherry
Raj Bhowmik 197
60 children in the age group of 13 – 18 participated in the CORPORitual Young Leader’s Program from the SOS Children’s Village, Pondicherry.
As part of the Raj Bhowmik Back-To-Society DREAM (RB-BTS DREAM), Soulbath Peace Foundation created a strong foundation towards building dreams of 60 Young Leaders.
Our Founder Raj Bhowmik in CORPORitual introduces building castles in the Air as an integral Process leading to one’s vision and these dreams are often build in childhood. Childhood is the time when our minds are fresh and we can think beyond and dare to dream.
With gleaming, sparkling eyes our Young Leaders from the SOS Children’s Village Pondicherry expressed their dreams in the direction of country, setting up businesses, contributing to the community by working for children, setting up of families and also being individual contributing members.
The SOS Children’s Village in Pondicherry was set up after the Tsunami and each home has a warm house mother and 12 children. These mothers are women who are ready to dedicate their lives to take care of children. Siblings grow up together and about 15 families over 155+ members live in a community and care for the community.
In this context, when children after their education begin working, their first thoughts are natural about giving back to a community. As each in their individual groups during the workshop realized the difference between an authoritative leader v/s aspect of citizenship towards a cause, they became conscious contributing members projecting themselves now living their dreams.
CORPORitual leads us with a step by step procedure through the Values Of Living about being successful while still contributing to the circle of life. With these guidelines, the young leaders discovered the next steps that one could take to Manifest their dreams.
Leadership involves decision making at all steps. A chaotic mind that is only focused on the self shuts others ideas and can never grow. The Group experienced the power of collaborative decision making as some groups during the process broke out from the shells of shyness, passing the buck and even having a goal without understanding the purpose. This experience quietened the young minds as they expressed that in any dream working and understanding the community and members is the most important. Believing in the goal, taking accountability of the vision, having a peaceful happy mind would be a basic requirement to walk towards their dream.
As children, many dream and often write it down on a paper. But these dreams lose their purpose as we begin to get into the cycle of past and future, blaming and forgetting about the dream. Today, children experienced in a focused manner that when the mind could day and night believe and see their dream, they would be in a position to recognize the opportunities that would be towards fulfilling their dream. This then becomes a one pointed focus and one achieves it. It is the process that one begins to love and that happens even at the initial phases when one gives a full 100% to the NOW.
When we give our best to that moment, then Life at a certain time does value it. Focusing our best towards the vision, the rewards lie through opportunities that find us. When the young leaders could declare that dream to themselves compassionately, when their bodies knew what it was to fulfill that dream, by identifying the next steps and giving it a 100%, the milestones begin to build a Reality of a Dream and this is a process.
The Young Leaders were happy to let go by Forgiving and Burying the Past of their traumatic background of a disaster like the Tsunami in their life and this past reference point had a new meaning through this CORPORitual Leadership essence that they all carried back.
“I have learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.”
- Sri Raj Bhowmik
With smiling faces and their generous hearts, they shared spontaneously pieces from their cakes, and warmly expressing with beaming faces that they were ready to walk on their dream path that they dared only because they knew what it Now feels like to have that Reality.

First I would like to thank Soulbath Peace Foundation for providing me with this great opportunity to come to Pondicherry and work with the children at the SOS Village. I would also like to extend a special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Raj Bhowmik for choosing me to be part of this wonderful event.
Through this event that we had at the SOS Village in Pondicherry I have also been able to learn about how leadership starts from within. I came to understand how important it is to love, respect and be compassionate towards oneself to be able to spread it to people around me. Working with the children at the village I came to understand how open they are too many things in life. This has helped me realize that my aspiration will manifest if I am open and let them happen. I have also come to realize how important a sustained effort is to achieve my goal. This workshop at Pondicherry has made me more relaxed as a person and I feel peaceful. I feel hopeful after spending my time with the children at the SOS Village. I understand the importance of following the CORPORitual Values so as to attain inner peace. I once again thank SPF for giving me this opportunity and wish that I could be a part of many more such workshops.
Thanks,
Smita
