World Diabetes Day @ SPF

As a part of the RBBTS Dream, on the occasion of World Diabetes day CORPORitual today reached and touched the lives of the people living in slums in Lakshmipuram, Ulsoor changing their lives forever. This was an event to create and spread awareness in the people who have no opportunity to get in touch with the latest advances of medicine and who live their life with jobs where their health plays a major role. All the participants assembled in a small room keeping aside all the Diwali celebrations at their homes to give themselves an opportunity to lighten and brighten up their life and their living. The workshop started with an introduction and a thank you note to Sri Raj Bhowmik , Founder, Soulbath Peace Foundation for the wonderful platform through which we could reach the participants and also thanking all the participants for opening up their hearts and taking the first step towards making their lives more beautiful.
The different aspects of living like lifestyle which includes work, eating style , planning of finances , addictions such as alcohol, smoking etc and their direct impact on health especially the role they play in the onset of diabetes by throwing the body out of homeostasis the normal balance of the body was discussed. How the solutions to these come in the form of the CORPORitual values of living was discussed in detail. The CORPORitual value of living- 1, Meet Yourself in Silence and its greatest role in maintaining the homeostasis of one’s body was discussed. It was a very interactive session where the participants shared their reasons for not finding time in this fast paced era and totally agreed that a minimum of 20 minutes a day can change their life forever. This was followed by an exercise where they could connect to their deeper self and felt calmer. Then the other CORPORitual values were discussed, C-VOL 2 Manifest your purpose of existence and this helped them realize their passion in life where few of them shared the activities they loved to do and how it keeps them away from stress was the realization they had. All the participants were involved and it was very interactive. The C-VOL 3 Practice Compassion was discussed as a way of showing them how they can be compassionate to self by giving themselves the right food, right amount of rest and keeping themselves out of stress. The C-VOL 4 Forgive and Bury the Past and how one has to move on in life was discussed in the context of how carrying the burden is the major reason of stress in today’s living and how it can be eliminated by just following the CORPORitual values was discussed.
