Raj Bhowmik Child Care (RBCC ) Centre celebrates Diwali with Local Slums in Bangalore
"Things of Heart ignite a flame ... Let the flame be Peace "! - Sri Raj Bhowmik
RBBTS Dream celebrated a colourful & peaceful Diwali with 25 children of Chinapanahalli slums , Marathalli Railway Bridge ..Children who live by their heart day in & day out & love to follow their dreams...
The auspicious day of Diwali, was celebrated with 25 children from the age group 4 - 17 yrs. at the Chinapanhalli Slum, Temple premises, near Marathalli railway bridge, thus, living the Raj Bhowmik Back To Society DREAM . The team which consisted of 8 staff members of RBCC Purva, along with 3 children of Raj Bhowmik Schools reached the venue around 12.00 noon with the focus to reach out to the slum children living just beside 2500 high end Apartment complex flats on Marathalli . With the message of Peace from our Founder on this Diwali Day, a few of the slum dwellers who were supervising some construction , were approached for help for the same & on knowing that we have come with colours & drawings for the children for living a RBBTS dream, they opened up completely & allowed us to use the Nearby Temple premises for the same . In about next 10 mins, around 25 children, excited & enthusiastic, gathered around us, in rags, but rich with sparkling eyes & longest of smiles.
There were so eager to see as to what RBBTS Dream had to offer that day that in no time at all they all sat in two different circles & there was pin drop silence as we spoke. We addressed the small gathering with the explanation of the action known as RBBTS Dream and how it has helped reach out to thousands across the globe with Sri Raj Bhowmik’s message of CORPORitual. We told them about the noise, chaos & ill health spread all around & how greed & jealousy helped us achieve maximum of the above. Then , was given a solution to all these issues - which was to live life in a CORPORitual way. The four values of CORPORitual was introduced, with a help of translation in KANNADA.
The theme given to each circle was "Things I see in Nature that brings Peace in me " There was once again absolute silence as the children went into their own tiny worlds to depict things in nature which ushers peace within them...They were almost about to get over when a couple of teenage boys walked in & expressed desire to join in the drawing too. They were given the same theme & they even made a poster of RBBTS Dream too . Touched by the enthusiasm of the children & the area in general, the priest of the temple , requested us whether it would be ok if we leave the drawings pasted on the temple wall for others to see. We agreed. Immediately one person in the community rushed to the nearby shop to get a cello tape & the painting was immediately up on the walls.
The children assembled in groups again to appreciate others' work & present their own work too. Food brought for them was distributed & crayons & pencils was given away too.
We left after saying a heartfelt thank you to the local residents for their touching community support & help even though all was arranged on the spot without any prior preparation.
Each child had a smile on their face & eyes which brimmed with hope when the C-VOL Value of "MANIFEST YOUR PURPOSE OF EXISTENCE" was spoken about. The elder children of the group readily agreed that they are born to do something different which would help them make a better world for them selves & their family. They all nodded in unison that anger, jealousy & greed breeds the same & Peace, Love & togetherness births the same...
Yes, we all came back fulfilled & full of hope. This Diwali, our Founder's message of the Raj Bhowmik Back To Society DREAM reached out to a handful of children but these are the children who shall sprinkle the same essence of CORPORitual in the world in near future!

Testimonials
Dear Raj,
Today is a very special day not only because it is a Diwali / Kali Puja Day but because in five years , for the first time we have celebrated it in this way .. the RBBTS Way. Raj, , doing Puja or celebrating Diwali as RBBTS Day is very new to me and to the staff also , so at first they were all very sceptical at the change . However, after a small introduction of the activity & the short planning / guideline of the RBBTS day diwali clebration was given to them , they went quite satisfied & eagerly. However, when they the RBBTS Day started they all forgot their grudges @ work, worries of their families back home..just like me. I was thinking that maybe I have not planned the event so well..but even after little planning the event went so smoothly. Children and adult were so supportive & there was a strong community feeling present there..I felt oneness once again.
Thanks Raj, for providing such a wonderful platform both to me & the Raj Bhowmik Child Care Centre.
Love & Regards,
Mili Chakraborty (Coordinator, RBCC, Purva)

Dear Raj,
"Every morning of Kali Puja is spend with my family & children for years now ill I heard about RBBTS day being celebrated on this special day. At first I felt bad on leaving my family & child back home in the morning of Kali Puja! However, when I reached the venue of Chinapanahalli slums & saw that just like my child , there were scores of other children , I felt really touched & felt joyful just by spending some time & by being with them ..like them... ..even it was just for an hour. This "Anand" was a very different type of "Anand" ..I cannot name it. It was more illuminated than the Diwali lights & crackers ..So, THANK YOu! RAJ. It is only for you that we got such a beautiful day today ."

"After lighting diyas & offering prayers at RBCC , we all togehter went to a nearby are and gathered children in a local temple premises. The children were addressed very kindly & were told about the RBBTS Dream & about the 4 CORPORitual Values of living . The Four CORPORitual values touched me , the staff & the children too . Would like to know more in details. I found all the kids were very smart, sharp & bright. They even presented the drawings very well & smartly. I love being with children & any activity which involves children is very special to me .. but this sort of sharing & giving has given me a pleasure which has no bounds. The children were happy & those smiles made me happy too.
Thank you Dear Raj for this day when we celebrated Raj Bhowmik Back to Society Dream ."

"This Deepawali was very nice & different. We all together like one big family went to one more bigger family of small boys & girls for sharing & spending time with them through RBBTS Dream. This sharing & working together in peace, with colours, crayons & drawings made this Diwali day a very special day. We distributed snacks at the end & all together it was a very beautiful experience.
Thank You for this day .

"Today when we went to the RBBTS day , I felt nice. The kids were very happy to see us. We made beautiful posters about what we see & feel peaceful inside. The best part was that it was very easy to communicate with them because all of them could understand Hindi , English & Kannada. It was very fun and also peaceful , except for the part when we gave them the juice . Then they were very excited . Thank you for this opportunity."
With Peace,
